Unisys Corporation, IT consulting and outsourcing solutions provider and makers of high-end server computers, announced the appointment of Srikanth Raghavan as director of software development—financial sector and Jayasimha (Jay) Varadarajan as director of IT services, in its Global Services India operation.

Raghavan has over 17 years of international experience in the banking and financial services segment. Prior to joining Unisys he was a consultant with iFlex Solutions, and has also worked with companies like Citicorp, Deutsche Software and Silverline Technologies. He has done his post graduation in both Science and Business Administration is a certified Project Managem-ent Professional (PMP) by Project Management Institute, US.

Prior to joining Unisys Varadarajan was the divisional head of IT infrastructure and IT security at iGATE Global Solut-ions. He has over 13 years of experience and played a crucial role in setting up two startup companies—Deutsche Software India and Ideaspace Financial Technologies (later acqui-red by iGATE Global Solutions in 2003). He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering and is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Red Hat has announced that Sanjay Munjal has been appointed as their regional manager of Enterprise Sales in Delhi. Munjal is a hard core IT professional having rich experiences with IT giants like Intel and Wipro in the area of business development and product management. At Red Hat, he will be responsible for addressing the growing demand of Red Hat products and services across segments—government, enterprise and education. He will also be responsible for business development in North India.


Javed Tapia, director of Red Hat India said, “These are exciting times for Red Hat and the entire open source movement. Red Hat Enterprise Linux is being adopted in mission critical applications, database server, application server, in addition to mail servers, Web servers, file/print servers. Sanjay’s addition to the team will help in further accelerating the adoption of Red Hat Enterprise Linux in the Northern region.” He added, “Red Hat continues to attract industry talent to drive the growth of our company.”

Sanjay is an engineer with an MBA from Symbiosis University of Pune. Having worked with companies like Intel Asia Electronics and Wipro Infotech, he has nine years of experience. His last tenure with Wipro gave him excellent hands-on experience of product and services marketing. He was instrumental in business development and consistently achieved targets.
