Micromax partners with University of California-Irvine

ITP News Network / New Delhi

The University of California-Irvine (UCI) and Micromax Informatics recently launched two post-graduate courses in Embedded Systems Technology and Wireless Communications. These specialised programmes have already been launched in the US. “We are proud and privileged to be associated with the University of California, which will benefit many students in India,” said Rahul Sharma, chief operating officer of Micromax Informatics.

The programmes would enable students to study six months in India and four months in America. It is a great opportunity for budding professionals who would be implementing these technologies at UCI’s campus in California. The students will also benefit from UCI’s connections in the corporate world and work with American companies in the US.

Rahul Sharma said, “These are the areas where the future growth is going to take place in the IT sector, and we foresee a great demand of 3G and embedded professionals in the global market.” After the candidate meets the initial eligibility criteria, admission is ensured and the I-20 is processed. Most of the students will be processed for group visas, thereby increasing their visa approval chances.

“The programmes have been formulated to meet the budgets of most aspirants who have always dreamt of going to the US for higher studies. It might turn out to be the most cost effective Indian training programme,” he added.

The university will be offering the programme in cities like Delhi, Kolkota, Mumbai and Bangalore.
