Enterasys
Networks, a leader in enterprise networking solutions, has appointed
Attley Ng as president for the Asia-Pacific region.
Ng
will be responsible for executive management of all aspects of the
companys operations in Asia-Pacific, including sales, service
and strategies to grow the companys business throughout the
region. He will report directly to Enterasys executive vice
president of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Mads Lillelund, and
will be based at Enterasys Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore.
Prior
to Enterasys, Ng held several executive-level positions with AT&T
and Lucent Technologies, where he most recently served as Lucent's
managing director for the Asia-Pacific region. He held P&L responsibility
for Lucent's Global Commercial Markets Business, valued at over
$150 million, and also managed business development initiatives
such as identification of major new business opportunities for new
and existing customers in the region.
Ng
recently completed the Harvard University Executive Program for
Global Leadership, and holds a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics
from the University of Minnesota.
Mandar
Agshikar has been appointed head of sales-India by iSmart International.
Agshikar will be based in Mumbai and will be responsible for the
companys overall sales and marketing operations in the country.
He has over 15 years of industry experience to his credit and specialises
in the field of relationship management. Agshikar has spent 15 years
in hardcore sales organisations. His previous assignment was with
CMS Computers. where he worked for six years. At CMS, Agshikar rose
from the position of an assistant territory manager to regional
head, selling solutions offered by Datacard, Oce and Storagetek.
This gave him exposure to the card industry. In iSmart, his major
role is to build and guide the sales and marketing team and to explore
the various opportunities related to Smart Cards in India. He has
taken over a team of six sales and two marketing staff.
Deepak
Shikarpur has been appointed executive director of Computer
Society of India (CSI). Shikarpurs name was recommended by
CSIs search-cum-selection committee. Shikarpur brings with
him good knowledge about CSI, keen desire to build CSI, commitment
to the vision of CSI as the choice for and by IT Professionals,
and hard work as a result of which he can provide CSI with clear
orientation. Shikarpur worked with the Tata Group for 16 years and
has vast experience in the IT industry in all spheres as a techno
marketing professional, international business and also as an entrepreneur.
