New data confirm CEO pay decline

Maxtor Corporation, one of the world’s largest disk drive manufacturers has appointed Yogesh Kamat as the sales manager for the Indian subcontinent. He will be responsible for developing and growing the business for Maxtor’s solutions in India. Prior to joining Maxtor, Kamat was working with American Component (ACI) and played a key role in establishing Seagate, Teac FDDs and Adaptec SCSI cards in India. While at ACI, Kamat was responsible for transforming the Dubai set up into a profit-making centre. He started his career with ONIDA where he was responsible for the sales of their customer electronics. “Yogesh brings with him a wealth of experience in dealing with channel partners and we firmly believe that he will steer Maxtor’s offering of best quality product and services to our customers. As a part of our strategy to increase our presence in India, Yogesh will help us in enhancing market share and increasing reach of Maxtor across the region,” said Felix Law, senior sales manager, Maxtor International Sarl.

Vivek Mehta has been appointed national distribution manager of Lexmark International (India) , working for the Lexmark Mumbai office. Mehta brings to Lexmark 13 years of Indian IT experience in distribution management and institutional sales, having worked for a range of Indian and multi-national companies. Prior to his appointment at Lexmark, Mehta was with Ingram Micro India. Commenting on Mehta’s appointment, Fran Dugan, general manager, Lexmark said, “I am really pleased to welcome Vivek to Lexmark, his knowledge of the Indian distribution business is extensive, and this will enhance our service and support to the distributors, resellers and retailers selling our products across India.” She added, “ We had been looking to fulfill this strategically important position for a few months and we are pleased to recruit someone of Vivek’s calibre to our business.”

Max Ateev, a provider of technology driven business solutions, has appointed Jeffrey Froug as the chief executive, entreprise solutions practice. Based out of Atlanta, USA, Froug will provide leadership in developing and servicing the global partnerships of the company in the ERP sector. He will be instrumental in developing and managing key alliances to maximise business opportunities whilst directing technology and operations to develop and deploy services to meet client expectations. Commenting on the appointment Vivek Jetley, managing director, Max India, said “With his rich experience and expertise, Jeffrey is uniquely qualified to lead our Max Ateev’s enterprise solutions practice and deliver ERP solutions to customers across the globe. I am confident that he would be able to position Max Ateev as one of the leading organisations providing high-end IT services and solutions with global standards.” Prior to this, he was the managing director of Nextera Enterprises Technology Solutions Group, a consulting firm specialising in CRM, Human Capital Management (HCM) and ERP. A significant part of Froug’s 22 years of work experience has been devoted to the deployment of CRM and ERP applications, including Oracle, PeopleSoft, Siebel, JD Edwards and SAP. He specialises in assisting high-growth companies in improving their businesses through implementation of technology and business process innovation. He has a track record of successfully building and managing professional consulting practices and personality generating significant consulting revenue. He was a senior partner with Ernst & Young’s Consulting Services (now Cap Gemini Ernst & Young) between 1996 and 2001 and has also had significant experience.
