 Blue
Star Infotech (BSIL) announced the appointment of Vir
Advani as the global Hewlett Packard account manager.
Vir, in his new role at will be responsible for further
strengthening BSIL’s long-standing association
with HP worldwide. In addition to increasing the amount
of software outsourcing from HP, Vir will be working
with the Global HP Account Team to initiate relationships
with more HP entities across wider geographies worldwide.
Prior to being appointed global HP manager, Vir has
been senior manager, business development for Blue Star
Infotech. Vir is a double graduate in manufacturing
systems engineering and economics from the University
of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. He has an avid interest
in sports.

Agrani
Convergence has appointed Krishnendu Sen as the
national manager-distribution and institutional sales.
He will be directly responsible for strategising the
supply chain management for third party products and
addressing the corporate and enterprise requirements
in infotech and communications. His other responsibilities
include managing sales performance for third-party products
at all Agrani Switch stores and training retailers and
sales force of appointed dealers and distributors. He
will report to Rajiv Pathak, vice president-operations,
Agrani Convergence. Krishnendu comes to Agrani Convergence
with an extensive experience in setting up channel and
distribution systems for technology and networking products
and solutions. Prior to this, he was heading the northern
and eastern region for marketing and setting up distribution
channels for Ramco Systems.

 FirstRing,
an India-based contact centre, has appointed Rick
Singer as its chief executive officer. An industry
stalwart with several years of leadership experience
in the global contact centre industry, Singer holds
more than 13 years of experience in the US call centre
industry. He will be responsible for spearheading the
company’s strategic growth, strengthening long-term
partnerships with customers and overseeing the operations
of the organisation’s 100 percent Indian subsidiary.
It is understood that this appointment will further
strengthen FirstRing’s management team. Prior to
this, he was working with West Corporation, where he
was executive vice president. Singer is a doctorate
in business and organisational management.
