Mindteck, a global software services company has announced the appointment of Ravi Ramachandran as director, finance and strategic initiatives. Ravi, in addition to overseeing Mindteck’s global finances, will spearhead its inorganic growth strategy, which includes mergers and acquisitions and business collaborations. He will also be driving the company’s foray into new complementary business segments such as IT enabled services. “We are building a strong global organisation with core values, defined technology verticals and delivery expertise,” says Sumit Ganguli, group CEO, Mindteck. Prior to joining Mindteck, Ravi Ramachandran was the president and CEO of TAIB Capital Corporation, a subsidiary of TAIB Bank EC, Bahrain, which is also the key investor and business promoter of Mindteck.
Rohit Gupta has been appointed as the executive director, Industry Solutions Operations (ISO), Xerox India. He will be responsible for promoting new Xerox document solutions and help move more than 600 key accounts up the digital value chain with advanced Xerox products, solutions and services. The focus will be to encourage growth of solutions, services and digital production and publishing equipment sales across diverse segments—telecom, banking and finance, graphic arts, education, manufacturing, government and also corporates. Rohit Gupta is also responsible for promoting Xerox Business Servers across the country. Xerox operates in India through its entity, Xerox ModiCorp, and is the undisputed leader in the document management market in the country. The company has received ISO 9002 Certification, both for its manufacturing and customer service support operations in the country, as well as ISO 14001 for its complete Environment Management Systems.
Midas Communication Technologies, the Chennai-based telephony and Internet network product development company, has appointed Narendra Kumar Mohapatra as its country manager. Based at New Delhi, Mohapatra will handle the sales and marketing activities of the company. Mohapatra has vast experience in the areas of satellite communication & broadcasting, basic telecom services & ISP operations. Prior to joining Midas, he was vice president, sales and marketing, at UT Starcom’s India office. Earlier in his career, Mohapatra had also served as vice president, marketing, at Shyam Telecom. He was also the managing director of Advanced Communication Technology. Mohapatra is an MTech in Management & System from IIT Delhi, with a specialisation in Marketing & Systems.
