Tata
Infotech Education (TIES) recently announced its tie-up with Virtual
University Enterprises (VUE) in India to launch the electronic vendor
certification exam. Through this initiative, TIES will provide a
platform for learning and testing on the latest emerging technologies.
Speaking
on the occasion, Rahul Thapan, head, education services division,
Tata Infotech said, TIES believes that in this constantly
evolving marketplace, people need to keep re-skilling themselves
to meet the business and technology needs of the future. Our tie-up
with VUE provides a platform for certifying the level of knowledge
that a person has attained. This platform has in-built unique security
features, ensuring the authenticity of the participant. Agreed
Avinash Gupta, managing director of VUE India, who said that he
was pleased that TIES has joined their growing list of testing partners.
Its exciting to work with a company that looks for sophisticated
solutions to the security challenges of the e-learning industry.
Both VUE and Tata Infotech Education are leaders in their respective
fields and will take this initiative to many more cities in the
future, he said.
It
is understood that the programme is focused on the corporates who
want to re-skill their employees for specialised certifications,
to counter the effect that the recession has on the IT industry.
And under this initiative, the employees have to undergo modular
courses to upgrade their skills on a constant basis.
The
vendor certification exam is being offered at Delhi, Chandigarh,
Ludhiana, Patna and Ranchi. Tata Infotech proposes to take this
initiative forward to other locations through their Professional
Learning Centres (PLCs). VUE provides a variety of services to the
IT industry and the professional certification and licensure markets.
