Arena
Multimedia, the multimedia training arm of Aptech Limited, constituting
55 per cent of the market share, has recently announced their national
alliance with Discreet, the leader in integrated digital content
creation, management and distribution tools. While Arena centres
across the country provide extensive training on Discreet Animation
courses, Arena Animation Academy (AAA) is the authorised training
centre of Discreet Gaming Courses in India.
Speaking
on the occasion, Sudhir Mathur, the Head of Arena Multimedia, said,
“According to Digital Software Association (IDSA -US), the
three decade old gaming industry is expected to witness a 20 per
cent growth from the year 2001 to 2002. And this would take the
total US video game software sales to more than $ US 10 billion
and global sales over US $35 billion. Our alliance with Discreet
is precisely aimed at tapping this market.” The Arena Animation
Academy (AAA) exclusively imparts training on Discreet’s popular
gaming course and aims to train more than 1000 students by end of
this year in Mumbai alone.
According
to the Discreet officials, this partnership will help impart advanced
training on 3D gaming and animation.
